Sleep talking

When Mike is sleep deprived he tend to say funny things. We have some funny stories from just after Esther was born. (click here to read some of those)
The other night I had just finished feeding Aiden and was getting ready to change his diaper. I had already opened his dirty diaper when I realized that there weren't any clean diapers nearby. Not wanting to leave Aiden half changed to get a diaper, I nudged Mike and asked him to get me a diaper. He looked at me and said "microparticles?" "No, I need a diaper." He grabbed a diaper and kinda threw it at me. I said thanks and he responded with "oh, endothelial." He's rather caught up with work right now, can you tell?
Another night Mike and I had been talking when all of the sudden he exclaimed "Oh! I've got a phone on my elbow!" The funny things was he had set his phone down on his elbow. :)
Several nights ago I was snuggled up to Mike and all of the sudden he said "Robyn, move your arm! You're squishing my spleen!"
Thankfully, the night before last Aiden slept for 6 hours straight! Yeah! This morning when I was talking with Mike about Aiden's night I said he had slept for 6 hours again: 10pm to 2 am. Mike looked at me and laughed and said "yeah, you're tired. That's only 4 hours." Yup, we're tired. :)

Let's go fly a kite!

This past Saturday was the kite festival at the lake front. It was an overcast day, so we weren't sure if there would be many kites out, but decided to drive down to the lake front anyway. We were glad we did because the huge kites were out. We forgot our camera (which happens a lot lately!) so all we have is this picture from Mike's phone.
Esther keeps talking about this octopus kite. :)

New Companion

Last week we went to an allergen specialist for Esther. We've suspected that she's had some allergies for a while, and last week we had that confirmed. She had skin tests done and had HUGE reactions to tree nuts (everything but peanuts), cats and mold. She had blood drawn so they could do more testing (they don't like to do extensive skin tests on little kids), and we got the results from that today. There weren't any new allergies found in the blood test, but the ones that reacted to the skin test were found in the blood test. The doctor was worried that she might not have the IGA protien in her blood, when helps keep the immune system strong. Thankfully her IGA levels were fine, so she's good. :)
Since Esther's reaction was so severe, we now have a new companion to take with us everywhere: an epi pen. I hope we don't have to use it, but it's comforting to know we have it.
I tried getting a picture from my phone on this post, but Mike will have to do it for me...

At the Larson house... a phone pic tour

This is Mike posting.....
Here is a smattering of the conversations that go on at the Larson house. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do:)

Mike, to Esther: "Esther, don't put carrots on your brother's head."
Sleep-deprived Mike to Robyn: "...that loopey-doopey thing..." Robyn in reply: "You mean the belt loop?"
Esther to Robyn, matter-of-factly: "Oh that cake beautiful! I should eat it."
Robyn and Mike to Esther, 3 times a week or more: "We only put fingers on the piano--not carrots" or "-not our feet" or "-not tongues." [We only wonder what else she can put on the piano to get the response she yearns for]
Esther to Mike, in reference to a scary Dr Seuss creature: "He go time out" [except she say's 'pime out' so it is cuter]
And now Aiden is trying to make it onto the audio scene. The video is a little long and low quality, but 10 years ago, it would have been state of the art technology!

So here are more things from my phone while I have it connected to the laptop. Enjoy!

Esther is a doll in this dress:)
Esther was listening for dorsalis pedis bruits on Aiden this morning.
Robyn and Esther about to take flight on a Sunday walk.
I never understood why my dad liked taking tub shots, but I now understand that the bath and the crib are basically the only 2 places in the house you can confine a 2 year old long enough to get a picture.

Here's Aiden a day or two ago (sticking his tongue out whilst smiling) and a mug shot from 2 months ago for comparison. Crazy how much he has grown.
Here's a picture of a license plate with no number.

Last but not least, here are our 2 dolls!
