Lately

Lately we've been loving up on these two cuties...
And Laughing a lot...
And exercising (yes we sometimes use Aiden as our weight when we work out)...
And being silly...
And learning new things...
Loving my matching boys...
Eating yummy food...
checking out the world...
celebrating...
And eating these chubby cheeks...
When Esther catches me nibbling on Aiden she often tells me "We only eat food, not Aiden!" I'm sorry Esther, sometimes he's just too irresistible!

Esther quotes: Part 1 of many...

I (Mike) started writing in my journal some of the crazy/cute things Esther says. Lucky for us all, we have blogs to share the smiles.
Yesterday, Robyn pointed out to Esther a robin bird while they were outside. Esther replied "Actuawy, it's a Esther bird."
The other day, I announced loudly I was going to eat Aiden all up since he is so cute. Esther reproved me "No Dad, only eat food!"
I was pulling a hoodie over my head when it was freezing a week or two ago, and Esther got a surprised look and shouted "Look! Daddy have armpits, I have armpits, too! Mommy have armpits, too!" She was so excited, and Robyn asked "What about Aiden?" And Esther dashed over to Aiden and, with eyebrows raised high, pointed out "Aiden have armpits, too!" I would never have stopped to appreciate how everyone has armpits if it weren't for Esther. As she says, "thank you too much" Robyn, Esther and Aiden for making everyday Father's Day!

Zoo Day!

This morning I was feeling adventuresome, so I packed up the kids and we headed to the zoo. The last day of school for many of the Milwaukee districts was last Friday, so there were LOTS of people at the zoo, but it was beautiful weather and WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!
The first thing Esther got excited about was this waterfall. She said "Take a picture mommy! It's beautiful!" You're right, Esther, it is. :)
When Mike got home for work he asked Esther what she saw at the zoo. Here's what she said:
"Pink Mingos"
"Rhino come say hi."
"Tiger say roalrrr"
"Elephant throw cows."
Whoa, I must have missed something there... hope the cows didn't mind. :)
Esther loves giraffes. :)
We seriously need to work on her cheesy smile. :)
Aiden was so happy the whole time. It was fabulous!
Esther didn't want to go home, so she came up with a bunch of stall tactics. One such tactic was she wanted a picture in this boat. :)
Fabulous day with my kids!!! :) Thanks for all the fun Esther and Aiden! (Oh and I guess the animals were cool too.) :)
Smile Esther!
Open your eyes while you smile.
You don't need to open them that much.
Nevermind. :)
(By the way, these were taken after she had eaten raspberries)

Before....
After!

I finally went and got my short pixie that I've always wanted. I've gone pixie before, but never this short. :) I love it! Especially if the temperature is going to be close to 100*. :)

3 months

I know I'm a couple weeks late in posting this, but oh well. Aiden is 3 months old now. The time is flying by! He is growing so much! When we left the hospital after he was born he was 7lbs 12 oz. Now he's over 16 lbs. So he's doubled his hospital weight and possibly his birth weight too. I just weigh him on our scale at home so I'm not sure how accurate it is, although I think it's pretty close. He is super rolly polly and it is so fun! My arms and back are always sore from carrying him around, but I'm hoping it's helping me lose the baby weight faster (please!).
Aiden has found his voice and loves to yell and make noise. When Esther was this age she always sounded like she was chewing someone out. Aiden, on the other hand, always sounds like he's telling an incredibly happy story. It is so cute! We don't have a good video of him talking because whenever we pull out the camera he goes quiet. He's also started laughing and it is tickles my heart to hear it!
He's found his thumb and insists on that instead of a pacifier. I have mixed feelings about this. One the one hand it's great because we don't have to go searching for the pacifier when he wants to be soothed, but on the other hand I'm worried about later on when we want him to stop sucking his thumb. Oh well!
Esther is doing really well with Aiden and she tries to play with him all the time. She gets frustrated when he won't hold onto a toy or he chews on it, but I suspect they'll be good friends as they get older.
I love my beautiful children and feel so blessed to be their mother! :)
